Proverbs 3: 5

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.

A House

A house is a place where we live and have influence. That influence will be on different aspects like:: 1. Our Life, 2. Our Family, 3. Our Work, and also 4. Our Service to God.

Because of that, it is important that we make every effort to work with God and get God’s help in all we do.

Have you heard of the House of Jacob, the House of David or the House of this person or that in the Bible? Some were successful in accomplishing God’s purpose in their time, others were not. This was because as Psalm 127:1a. says: Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

A Heritage is the past, it is what we are given in life. A Legacy is our future, what we give to the next generation. We are influenced by our heritage as we live trying to create a legacy.

What the people in the Bible created and left behind was a legacy. That legacy becomes our heritage, which we can learn from. Whether they were successful or not was determined by how much they sought God’s help in accomplishing His priorities. Where the Lord God helped them, they were successful. Their lives were fruitful and not in vain.

God says we shouldn’t get tired of doing good. Whatever we think the results may be, we should keep on doing good in all areas of our lives. The good news is that God is willing to help.

There can be no results if we do nothing.

Do good then in these four areas: your Life, your Family, your Work and your Service to God. Then all other things will fall into place.
